SALE REQUIREMENTS:

Only members of the North American Hair Sheep Association can consign to this sale.  To join, send $50 dues to NAHSA, PO Box 993, Sterling City, TX 76951 or go to www.hairsheep.org for membership forms.

 

            FOR REGISTERED ANIMALS ONLY: 

1.      The original registration certificate (showing consignor as owner) from any breed association must be provided on animals over 3 months of age. 

2.      If animal is less than 3 months old and original paperwork is not available, you must provide a copy of the sire and dam’s registration papers along with the completed application. 

3.      All animals must be permanently id’ed (tattooed, micro chipped, scrapie tagged, etc.)  This will be checked.

 

FOR ALL ANIMALS: 

4.      A general health paper is required.  Each animal must have a copy of health certificate included with registration paper.  We will NOT be able to make copies at the sale!!  It is the responsibility of the consignor to verify that they have met all requirements for the state of Texas. Every animal must have a scrapie tag. 

5.      CONSIGNMENT FEES: 

a.      For animals selling individually (one at a time):  A $20 per head consignment fee is required.  Sale commission will be 10% of sale price.  Minimum sale commission will be $10 per head; no sale fees will be $10 per head.  Consignment fees are nonrefundable!! 

b.      For animals selling in group lots (3 at a time):  A $30 per lot consignment fee is required. Sale commission will be 10% of sale price.  Minimum sale commission will be $15 per lot; no sale fees will be $15 per lot.  Multiple lots are not to exceed 3 animals!  These animals will all be sold together and not be sold pick and choice.  Consignment fees are nonrefundable!!

6.      All animals must be on the sale premises by 8PM Thursday prior to sale.  We will begin receiving animals at 10AM on Thursday.

7.      Sale order will be determined by the order in which the consignment forms are returned.  Purebred sheep will be sold first; then registered Percentages, then Commercials (non-registered).  

8.      Pens will hold 3 adult animals comfortably.  Bucks will be penned individually—if needed.  We will do our best to accommodate penning requests. You will need to provide your own feed and water buckets! 

9.      Deadline for entry is 08-10-07.  Please contact us before sending entries after the due date.  All sheep must be pre-consigned before day of sale.  You need to return completed consignment form, appropriate fees, and a copy of registration papers by the due date.  Checks should be made out to NAHSA.  All information needs to be mailed to:  Philip Glass P.O. Box 218 Water Valley, TX 76958. Our consignment sheet must be used or animals will not be accepted!  Consignment form must be signed, also. 

10. Sale management reserves the right to limit number of consignments by consignors and to limit total number of consignments. 

11. Consignors will be mailed checks following the sale.

12. Consignors who consign animals and then do not follow through risk losing their space in the next consignment sale.
